Bio

I've worked with online businesses across marketing, growth management, and product management. In roles ranging from freelancer to consultant, in-house specialist, manager, director, and cofounder. My biggest conclusion is that no matter how great the marketing is, there is no sustainable growth if the product doesn't match users' expectations. Great products need validation, feedback and an audience, which led me to the goal of helping founders craft stories that will help them build an audience. That audience will help validate the idea, give feedback, generate first revenue and expand their network. I'd love to better understand your journey and help you craft stories that will help you find new fans, followers, allies, employees, cofounders, investors and friends. I am still testing this idea but am happy to do this for free by interviewing you, asking questions that I am genuinely curious about and then giving you the tools to craft your stories. All I expect in return is that you tell me your story and give me feedback on my approach.

Expertise

  • Building a team

I've built, hired, disbanded, combined and let go of teams. I hired over 40 growth marketers as the hands on recruiter. I can help you define whether you need an employee, freelancer, team or advisor. Next to define the job description and goal for them and develop a process to get them in the right seat.

  • Content marketing

Old media, paid ads and click bait are ruining businesses. By crafting genuine and captivating stories you have a chance of build your brand and audience which will help validate your idea, find investors, employees and customers. I am helping founders do all of that through my system for recording ideas and turning them into stories. All of that without spending hours and hours every week on writing. Foundation -> Ideas -> Prompts -> Publishing content -> Analysis of what works -> Iterate

  • Go to market strategy

There is only 1 type of founder, a visionary salesman. You have to create a vision that you will be selling through your product, personality, and content. Lose the social media or sales team. Be that for yourself. I want to help you tell stories instead of sharing dull and plain social media posts and blog articles, to reach more people, achieve more engagement and build up an audience of trusting fans much faster.

  • Growth marketing

In order to grow you must understand why are users coming to your product in the first place and also why are they returning. By understanding those emotions and rationals, you will be able to improve on how you use them to keep bringing more users and increase the retention of the ones you have. Then the growth toolkit of marketing channels, product management and analytics will help you put it all into action.

  • Product management

I am happy to guide you through the 4 pillars of Product Management: 1. Opportunity validation through strategic fit, user value and business value. 2. Design, working with a designer, how to validate and brief designs. 3. Development, writing user stories, finding areas where you can be faster either by using off-the-shelf solutions or scoping the project down for the v1.0. 4. Launch & iteration, how to set the product for success from the start.

  • Product marketing

Understand the problem you help your users solve. Build multiple narratives around that problem and how it helps them live better lives. Then translate it into articles, videos, ads, emails and see what works. Working with a product marketing manager as a product manager is a great opportunity to bounce interesting ideas and get them executed.

  • Hotjar logo

    Hotjar

    8 years of experience

Understanding user behavior based on heatmaps, scroll depth, session recordings or user surveys is the next best thing to in-person interviews. Many marketers and product managers omit qualitative data and focus only on numbers, but that's like walking in the dark with your hands tied to your back. The better you understand your users, their bottlenecks, and frustrations, the better you can optimise your product.

  • LinkedIn logo

    LinkedIn

    11 years of experience

Used them for B2B lead generation, not the most user friendly platform but has unique targeting options. Also not a very cheap one either. Happy to share my insights.

  • Mailchimp logo

    Mailchimp

    10 years of experience

Been using it to make use of the subscriber list that we've built. Sending newsletters and analyzing the reports mostly. I don't have much coding experience to help with the templates, either worked on standard templates or something built by a designer/front-end dev.

  • Unbounce logo

    Unbounce

    11 years of experience

Been building, auditing, briefing and using Unbounce for Landing Pages. Either for lead generation or recruitment purposes. The traffic went there from Facebook/Google campaigns most of the time.
