As a COO, growth marketer, and marketing strategist, I’ve come in touch with product management as well, especially in my last job at Carts Guru, where I worked in strategising and launching a new marketing automation product. Product management, marketing, and growth hacking should always go hand in hand in order to achieve a successful product and market fit.
From marketing strategies to growth hacking experiments, I’ve used email marketing in multiple situations. This experience taught me the right time to send email communications, what language to use, and the various types of email campaigns to launch - from transactional emails to daily email automation.
As a tool and technology freak, I’m always in search of the best tools to make my life easier. Moreover, while working for Carts Guru, I’ve strategised and launched a multichannel marketing automation tool for e-commerce.
Thanks to my experience in marketing, sales, and growth hacking, as well as consulting for multiple startups and working in technology companies, I’ve gained much knowledge on best practices with regards to converting traffic into leads, especially with regards to inbound CR.
I’ve worked with many founders at the beginning of their journey. My knowledge and insights helped them bootstrap their startups by choosing the right tools, keeping staff and resources only where needed, gaining quick traction, looking for the right investment funds, and generally keeping their heads down to Earth.
I discovered early in my career that the combination of sales, marketing, and technology paves the way to growth and success. Since then, growth hacking has become one of my biggest fortes and it’s something I will carry on doing throughout my entire professional life, from using it in practical contexts in my work to teaching about it in lectures or events.
I’ve always had a curious mind and a desire to constantly learn. In my work as a guest speaker and lecturer at university, I’ve been teaching others about growth hacking and other marketing activities. And, throughout these processes, I also learned to be a better coach and understand my audience and their needs better.
In my 10+ years of experience, I have been testing products, speaking with users about their problems and understanding how to best find solutions for them, and ensured all products I’ve worked with are answering the needs of the market. The last such challenge was with Carts Guru’s multichannel marketing automation product, a new and innovative software for e-commerce that required many answers for an accurate product market fit before launch.
In the past 3 companies, I’ve worked for, I helped gather over 5 million USD in funding. For both Restb.ai and Talaia, we received 1.7 million EUR from the EU Commission’s Horizon 2020 fund - one that is not easy to receive and that requires extensive and detailed reporting. Finally, with Carts Guru, we got a total of 1.9 million USD in funding.
I’ve been passionate about tools from a young age, always in search for the newest, best gadget or technology out there. Tool discovery, testing, and launching have been an integral part of my growth hacking career, and my work with various startups easily reflects my love and understanding of technology.
Started my career as a door to door salesman in the US and I’ve been involved from cold calling to deals closing. Bringing this experience to Marketing helped me scale outbound strategies both in marketing and sales, especially combining them together.
I used this tool for my personal Twitter. I would recommend a multichannel social media tool for your business, but if you’d rather work with Twitter only, the setup and use of the tool is easy.
I can show you how to start with Hootsuite and manage all your social media communications, from scheduling to tracking your posts. I can also help you define your social media strategy.
This tool goes beyond A/B testing, as I can help you run experiments that increase conversions through personalisation, multivariate testing and also we can test what messages, imagery, and offers help increase conversion, retention, and lifetime value.
I’ve used this in every company and love it due to the fact that you can optimize your tags and ensure you’re tracking properly and have everything in one place.
Instapages is great to convert paid traffic into leads and beyond, into sales, due to its personalization, A/B testing, and landing page features. We can together deploy landing pages to experiment and validate ideas.
I’ve worked a bit with LinkedIn video ads for B2B products and a few in-mail ads. In b2b the video ads can perform well. Again, not a big fan as we can easily growth hack this ;)
Not my expertise, as I believe more in growth hacking and organic traffic, but I can help you setup your account if you so wish. I still would recommend that we look at other opportunities where the ROI would be higher.
My favourite task management tool. I’ve helped setup Asana in many companies, as it offers many features, from timelines to different projects, and so on. Also, I completed all of their certifications.
You can easily setup funnels and landing pages with Clickfunnels to generate leads and increase your revenue. Don’t worry, I will help you with the proper setup.
I can help you setup some great email automation with Autopilot (even tho Hubspot still remains my favourite). We can strategise and deploy a marketing automation strategy in a very short time.
I helped setup Google Analytics in every company I’ve worked with, as it gives a great overview on your website’s traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
A good tool for SEO analytics: keyword research, backlink research, finding the right opportunities for you. I can help you dig into the data and find the next steps for your SEO strategy.
Mixpanel is great for retention and product analytics. However, it is a bit more difficult than Heap to setup, but I can easily help you out and determine your custom Mixpanel setup.
This is a great tool to build dashboards with. I can help you create the best dashboards to track your business and growth. I personally use Databox instead.
Another one of my favourite tools. We can setup up heatmaps and funnels, as well as track poll and form responses with Hotjar, in order to make data-informed decisions that lead to successful businesses.
I’ve used Intercom many times to launch efficient communications with customers, from one time communications to customer support. An easy and intuitive tool, Intercom is great for everything messaging related.
I’ve worked with many SEO and keyword analysis tools, but SEMRush is probably my favourite. SEMRush not only gives you SEO insights on your own business, but you can track competition, optimize content on your website or blog, and analyse in-depth metrics.
Create custom dashboards to see the health of your company and different departments. I’ve used Klipfolio quite often and can help you build dashboards that enable you to make data-informed decisions.
Another one of my favourite product analytic tools, where you can dig deeply into product metrics, build user funnels, and optimize retention and activation. Heap is great in informing your business and helping you take the right decisions.
I am not the biggest fan of Salesforce and moved many companies switch from Salesforce to Hubspot due to the high pricing and difficulty of use -> Hubspot has always been my go-to.
I am a Hubspot expert and big promoter of Hubspot. I’ve brought Hubspot in over 10 companies that I’ve worked with, and know the application from bottom to top.

I learned more about growth in 60 minutes chatting with Tim Cakir than I had in several months of reading on my own. The man is a veritable source of landing page wizardry, from Google Tags to Hotjar to thinking through my funnel. I particularly valued how he could zoom in to specific, actionable tactics for my landing page, and the zoom out to consider how certain product features would impact my customer persona's journey through the entire funnel process.
