Head of Sales and Marketing
Certainly the core part of my day to day activities. Brand24 is sending in excess of 450,000 emails per month. Various channels, platforms and CTAs etc. Goes without saying that segmentation, behavioral targeting and constant analysis is part of the work involved.
As an almost bootstrapped company (very small seed round) we have been lucky enough to learn at Brand24 how to do as many growth tactics as possible with a relatively small budget, especially in the beginning. Never been afraid to be the first to try something new, as when they are right, the ROI has been astounding. Happy to share all the successes and failures during those experiments
Running Customer Success for Brand24 I have advanced knowledge in both tools and processes. Furthermore creating both human and automated, digital customer success processes to allow businesses to scale at mass
I have spent over 5 years mentoring especially startups to focus on their Product Marketing Fit. Learning the pains of their potential clients, and also focusing on the first experience of their website, their messaging and their communication.
Most likely as many people use it. We study the individual usage and patterns of our users to create better UX, onboarding and overall knowledge. A great resource when the overall stats from tools like Heap or Google Analytics don't paint enough of a picture
Trello as a project management tool, to help streamline the flow of information from my team. Allows me to be able to check in real time what we are working on, and in which priority and order we are doing it. Simple, but effective.
Not a rockstar, but certainly our source for understanding our traffic sources, and also for understanding which areas of our site is the most leaky. Which content is driving people right through to the sale etc.
Intercom users since 2014. Hosting over 300,000 brand24 users. Active and expired. This is the epicenter of our communication and customer success. Most likely 40% of each day spent analyzing intercom, working on integrations etc.
Using heap since 2016. A super valuable tool for us when analyzing usage of our tool at mass, for both Product Development but also onboarding and educational content.
Client of Pipedrive for 5 years. Run Pre and Post sale funnels alongside special outbound campaigns. Currently run 24 team members inside the system and am constantly digging deeper into functionalities and reports
I have examined Mailchimp both as a competitor and also as a client. Using their system to manage 100,000 subscriber lists. Happy to share knowledge and experience
Over 5 years experience both working for GetResponse and as a client of GetResponse afterwards. Have experience in both content creation and also building automation funnels
Overlooking Sales, Customer Success and Marketing Automation for Brand24 overlooking a team of 18
Over 5+ years growing from Marketing Specialist to Director of Sales. Becoming the first ever specialized salesperson, I was lucky enough to grow the department over 5 years and build out the Enterprise sales team.
Easier for me to group these all into one experience :D Starting as a professional rugby player in the UK, I played professionally for 4 years, after that point I took on a various number of customer service and sales positions in industries such as fire and security, recruitment, community sports, and affiliate marketing. After this I relocated to Poland from the UK.
I have 2 pages of notes after our call. Pure gold. Thank you!
Okay, I don't want to be too honest here, because then everyone will book calls with Mick & he'll have no time for me... But really, this call with Mick was SO helpful. We talked about all the ins & outs of starting a saas sales team (where we're currently only self serve). No need to bore you with the rest of the details of the call, but for anything to do with saas growth (sales in particular), I couldn't recommend him more highly.
IT was an amazing session. Mick gave his 100% and went through real emails on the call. He gave me tons of ideas based on his experience about triggers and most importantly how to approach big email automation projects from the very scratch. I'll definitely follow-up in next week or 2 max.
