Expertise
Customer success
This broad topic is so important for businesses and product managers. A customer success employee is going to have the keys to your customer. What is the worst part about your product? How can you make it better. Separately customer success should represent a major area of focus for PMs. Usually happy customers are better converting, higher ROI customers. And if you're focused on customer success you are building something that will make you say weeee!
Idea validation
There are lots of ways to validate your idea or business. Some are more art than science, some require specific frameworks vs a gut-feel. Let's see which is right for you.
Product management
I've worked at small companies and large, design led vs engineering led, B2B and B2c. I also have a background in sales, advertising, and more. PM Experience + Range of skills + Empathy/Kindness = Tommy
Toolkit
JIRA
17 years of experienceI've been using Jira for as long as I can remember to act as our source of developer facing prioritization and requirements. It's a great tool for keeping everything centralized and has lots of tips and tricks to make output more efficient.
Industries
SaaS
The majority of my product experience revolves around SaaS products. This ranges from collaborative workflow products, all the way to platform products built for scale.
E-Commerce
I helped grow over $30M in revenue for Shutterstock, a 2 sided eCommerce marketplace. Themes - Growth, A/B testing, pricing and packaging, SMB, Enterprise, Collaboration.
Developer APIs
At Twilio I helped lead a group of PMs focused on the platform that powered SendGrid. SendGrid's main customers were developers attempting to send email at scale using SendGrid's APIs.
Experience
I'm working on a very large 20+ team project that's currently in stealth mode. My main goals are driving alignment, pushing through disagreements to gain consensus, and listen to customers and convert those sentiments into problems worth solving.
