Tracking / Analytics / Attribution Nerd to Multiply Your ROI from Your Ads + Audiences
Bio
Do you struggle to understand what's really driving your conversions? Do you want help with action steps to boost them? Maybe you’ve worked with freelancers or agencies who promised you the world… and then failed... So you decided, “Hey, If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.” That led you to reading blogs and buying courses... And then trying to figure out UTM tags, cross-domain tracking, referral exclusions, tag management, syncing conversions to Facebook's conversions API (among others), etc. Maybe you learned something, but I bet you’d agree… All of that is a HUGE waste of your time. If you just want to see what's working best, so you can do more of it, let's talk. I first built a custom tracking and analytics platform for the world's #2 travel community back in 2005, as a software engineer. It wasn't pretty and I probably almost got fired for struggling to deliver it... but gee golly gosh, I learned gobs about what matters! These days, I'm a growth marketer who has to deliver results, so you're talking to a friend who feels your pain. P.S. While there's no guarantee to solve your challenges, I remember sitting in my crib as a baby, knowing math and writing were my future. Seriously. This work is my calling. It's fun to see how the numbers help us craft the right words. P.P.S. My passions: I love the whole-foods vegan lifestyle, emotional healing and personal growth work, helping people discover their gifts, finding patterns in financial markets and running experiments in dang near every part of my life. How about you?
Expertise
Conversion rate optimisation
I help people see their funnels from a higher view to not just optimize one step while messing up another. For example, boosting opt-in rates isn't always wise.
Data science
I'm not a true data scientist, with a grad degree in statistical data modeling. That said, if you want insights on leveling up your tracking and analytics, to see the numbers you care about, let's talk.
Growth marketing
I've tested so many strategies for growing both B2C and B2B businesses in various industries (especially education and tech). I have more experience on the B2C side but enough on the B2B end to offer insights and compare / contrast with selling to consumers.
Mindset coaching
As someone who used to have severe social anxiety, depression and low self esteem, I can help you see your gifts and what's most important in your biz. You can do this. I can help. Geez, I sound like a Home Depot commercial. Dork Depot. :-)
PPC strategies
I've spent 7 figures on ads for mostly high-ticket courses / coaching (yes, with a positive ROI). If that gets your heart pumping faster, you have issues. I'm joking. Feel free to ask for input on boosting your ROI from ads.
Technology and tools
As a former code-crazed engineer, bits and bytes and tools are natural to me. Let me know how my herd sourcery might help you boost your biz. Sometimes the right tech can save you hours or double your profits.
Toolkit
Facebook
12 years of experienceI've spent 7 figures on Facebook ads, which also means I've dealt with all their crazy policies. And yep, I've had accounts and Business Managers disabled, like many others have, so I've learned how to adapt.
Google Analytics
13 years of experienceI first got Google Analytics IQ certified in 2014 and have been helping companies set it up and tune it ever since. If you don't set up the tracking you want, you can't capture insights from before you do. So let's talk about what you need to track asap.
Google Tag Manager
10 years of experienceGoogle Tag Manager is like a control panel for a website. I use it on almost every project to manage what code fires where and when... all in one place.
Hubspot
9 years of experienceI use HubSpot in my full-time marketing work, so I've learned a ton about it. I use the workflows, emails, lists and reporting the most. Of course, nobody knows everything.
Industries
Advertising
My expertise is in tracking and analyzing advertising campaigns to find out what's really working to drive conversions. It's not easy and depends how one ties results back to sources (attribution).
