StartupSauce is a mastermind community for SaaS founders based outside Silicon Valley. Most of the discussion focuses on operational stuff - sales, marketing, hiring, systems, processes, tools etc - rather than valuations and raising money. Though some of our members can certainly help with raising capital as well. You'll need to be a founder or co-founder of a SaaS product, making at least $5K MRR to join, though 1/3 of our members are making over $1m ARR and we've had 7 of our members successfully take their company to an exit so far.

Ryan Wardell
SaaS Marketing Coach & CEO - StartupSauce SaaS Founder Community
Bio
Hey, I'm Ryan. Serial entrepreneur, though I mostly focus on SaaS. Especially if you're selling to small/medium-sized businesses rather than consumers or enterprise. I run a community for SaaS founders outside Silicon Valley and am always keen to meet cool people and connect them up. I also REALLY enjoy helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. I've been growing internet companies for over a decade and am particularly strong on: - Cold email outreach - Sales (though specifically for SMBs rather than Enterprise) - Partnerships, affiliates & referral engines - Conversion Rate Optimization - Copywriting - User onboarding and UX - Pricing & how to structure different products and pricing tiers. - Hiring, training and managing an in-house marketing team I've also done a lot of Google and FB ads previously, as well as content marketing and SEO - but I haven't touched those as recently as the others above. ***Please Note*** Due to time constraints, I'm only working with founders of SaaS companies now. I still want to be able to help for free, but I need to focus on those I can help the most. If you're not a founder or not running a SaaS business, there are some other fantastic mentors here who are better positioned to help you.
Expertise
Conversion rate optimisation
I can help you with all aspects of CRO - from boosting conversions on a single landing page right through to developing a culture of continuous experimentation within your company.
Email marketing
I've got a lot of experience with cold email outreach - even have a course on it and run a done-for-you cold email outreach service! Happy to share my knowledge with you.
Growth marketing
I've generally got pretty good all-round marketing skills. I've marketed everything from financial services to sex toys online. These days I mostly focus on cold email outreach, partnerships and CRO for SaaS, but I've also got a lot of experience with paid traffic and unconventional/growth hacky channels as well.
Toolkit
Trello
12 years of experienceI've got a pretty sweet Trello process for running a continuous experimentation process. Most startups can (and should!) run at least 2-4 experiments a month, and then ratchet up the experiment frequency as they grow and have more traffic to work with. Happy to share this process with you.
VWO
13 years of experienceI've run a LOT of A/B tests in my time. Used to use Optimizely but switched to VWO and still prefer it over all the other options out there. Just don't ask me if the first test you should run is which of 17 different shades of blue a button should be. The answer is "no".
Industries
SaaS
15 years experience in SaaS and online business, selling mostly to SMBs. I also run StartupSauce.com, a community for SaaS founders based outside the SF Bay Area. Expertise spans everything from email marketing to conversion rate optimization to product management and UX to pricing, hiring, leadership and strategy. If you're building a SaaS business (or selling something to SMBs online) I can help you.
