Bio
A product leader with experience across startups and Fortune 500s. I have tangible first-PM experience, having led growth of Product orgs across hiring, managing, and leadership. Prior to product management, I was a software engineer, building solutions across web apps, thick clients, and mobile solutions. Additionally, I founded my own startup -- it wasn't successful, and I can definitely guide you away from the failure points I experienced. Educational background goes from the bits to the bottom-line. A BS in Comp. Sci from Clemson University, an MBA from Darla Moore School of Business (U of SC), and a MS in MIS from Florida State.

Design / UX
I love product design and how it aligns with an overall product strategy. I've hired and led product design teams and can speak to best approaches for both hire #1, as well as how to keep speed and productivity high long-term.
Go to market strategy
I've led the GTM strategy for several new products, as well as revitalizing GTM for current products as well. I've led through both sales-led approaches as well as product-led approaches (+1 for PLG, though it isn't always the best approach).
Product analytics
I have worked across several different product analytics tools and created a great strategy for pulling threads and finding the data that really matters. Whether it's setting up data streams, categorizing, or figuring out what questions to ask, I've had great experience across all areas.
Product management
Product is my day-to-day focus: I've spent the time actually doing product management, from interviewing users, to crafting designs, to creating PRDs. I love everything about the discovery and solution building process, and connecting that to end-user problems. Additionally, the focus of how to best structure a growing Product org for long-term success (starting with Hire #1) is an area I love helping with.
