Bio

I’m Paul Ryazanov, CEO of MageCloud, with over 22 years of experience across agency leadership, e-commerce, B2B marketing, and cloud technology. I work with founders and teams who want practical, experience-based guidance on growing their businesses. Background I began my career at QuartSoft, where the company grew from 12 to 120+ employees and expanded from Ukraine to Silicon Valley. I worked across database engineering, project management, marketing, and sales, gaining first-hand experience in agency growth and leadership. I later joined Promodo as Director of Business Development, focusing on SEO, conversion optimisation, paid media, and performance marketing across e-commerce and B2B. In 2014, I founded MageCloud and became an Amazon AWS and Google technical partner, specialising in cloud infrastructure, databases, scalability, and high-performance systems. Alongside this, I built and scaled our own B2B marketing engine through outreach, events, and community-led growth. Who I Help Agency owners & marketing leaders — growth, positioning, sales, and team leadership E-commerce founders — technical reviews, SEO, CRO, paid media, Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce B2B & SaaS founders — B2B marketing strategy, landing pages, outreach, and conversion optimisation Mentoring Style Direct, practical, and based on real execution. Everything I share comes from what we actively do ourselves.

Expertise

  • Conversion rate optimisation

I specialise in conversion rate optimisation for both ecommerce and B2B digital products, helping companies turn existing traffic into measurable growth. With over a decade of hands-on experience across Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom platforms, my CRO work goes beyond surface-level UX. For B2B brands, I focus on lead-generation page optimisation, messaging clarity, trust signals, form and funnel design, and intent-driven journeys that convert visitors into qualified leads.

  • Growth marketing

I help founders build sustainable growth engines across e-commerce and B2B without relying on guesswork or short-term tactics. I focus on aligning marketing strategy with data, technology, and real conversion performance. This includes validating channels, improving landing pages and funnels, optimising acquisition costs, and building repeatable systems through outreach, content, events, and community-led growth. Everything I advise on is based on strategies we actively use and test ourselves.

  • SEO

I take a practical, revenue-focused approach to SEO, built on years of hands-on experience working with e-commerce brands in highly competitive markets. My expertise goes beyond keywords and content, covering technical SEO, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, and large-scale platform migrations across Magento, Shopify, and WooCommerce. I place strong emphasis on aligning SEO with conversion rate optimisation, ensuring traffic growth translates into real revenue rather than vanity metrics.

  • Technology and tools

I help founders and teams design and scale reliable, high-performance technology foundations that support real business growth. With a background in database engineering and over a decade running MageCloud as an Amazon AWS and Google technical partner, I advise on cloud infrastructure, hosting architecture, load balancing, scalability, and system stability.

Toolkit

  • Ahrefs logo

    Ahrefs

    14 years of experience

I use Ahrefs on a daily basis when doing research for my e-commerce clients, as well as for my own projects. I rely on it for SEO-related work such as competitor analysis, keyword rankings, keyword research, backlink analysis, outreach planning, and similar tasks.

  • Google Analytics logo

    Google Analytics

    15 years of experience

I’m currently using Google Analytics 4 to build reporting for my customers around traffic, visitors, and conversions. This includes identifying the best-performing landing pages and tracking key events such as add to cart, checkout, and other conversion actions. We use this data to measure overall business profitability as well as to track and evaluate the performance of specific marketing campaigns.

  • Google Webmaster Tools logo

    Google Webmaster Tools

    15 years of experience

I’m using GSC to analyse organic performance for both my own website and my customers’ websites. The key focus areas are indexation — how pages are being indexed, which pages are driving traffic, and how to build content and keyword clusters around that data. I also use it to review impressions, average positions, and to structure the overall organic growth strategy based on real search performance.

  • Semrush logo

    Semrush

    14 years of experience

I also actively use SEMrush and personally know Alex, the founder, which gives me strong insight into how the platform evolves. I use SEMrush on a daily basis for technical SEO audits, keyword research, keyword clustering, and building FAQ-driven SEO sections for existing clients. These are all parts of the tool that I work with regularly in real projects.
