Bio
I've worked in the marketing & advertising industry for 15 years, predominantly in paid media and performance marketing. For the last 11 years I was running my own agency that we scaled from 2-100 people, generating more than £6m/year, which was then acquired and merged into a 10-company rollup. For the last 7 years I have worked across a range of exec-level positions, overseeing functions such as sales, innovation, finance, people and operations and have served on the ExCo of a 650-person, PE-backed business. I can also still talk relatively confidently about growth/performance marketing. My areas of greatest expertise are in running professional services businesses, remote working, team/community/culture building, change management and leadership. Currently I'm based in Barcelona, most of my client work has been in the UK and Europe with bits in the US and Australia. I have experience setting up and running entities and teams in the UK, Spain and India.

Building a team
I scaled my business from 2 to over 100 people over the course of 10 years, going through a couple of different tipping points that required changes in approach and team structure. We were also acquired by a larger group and I merged three of the teams within that group together. My business had a 5 star rating on Glassdoor and we were able to create a unique, autonomous environment that team members felt supported their growth and gave them a sense of belonging.
Leadership
11 years experience leading teams of up to 100 people, both in good times and bad, as well as through mergers and large-scale transformation. My own leadership style is based on developing intrinsic motivators, creating a sense of belonging and playing a pastoral role for teams - I am probably of most use for people interested in reducing employee churn rates through taking a more people-centric approach
PPC strategies
15 years of experience in performance marketing, both client and agency-side for a wide range of brands and verticals. Knowledge is a bit more top-level now rather than the nitty gritty of day to day campaign management
Remote work
I set up and ran a remote business in 2014 with the team scaling to over 100 people by 2025, hiring across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania. We managed to create a unique and engaging culture in the business, despite not seeing each other regularly, as well as establishing ourselves as one of the leading (and award-winning) businesses in our industry. I've also worked remotely for 11 years, and know what works and what doesn't on a personal level.
