Building a team
I'm a leader with a track record of building and empowering high-performing teams. In my experience, providing a clear, structured environment helps each team member grow and succeed. As a leader, I view myself not as standing above the team, but as being a crucial part of it, ready to provide stability in challenging times.
Marketing automation
My approach is to develop efficient marketing & sales processes which ultimately are automated to their fullest extent, liberating human talent to focus on adding value where technology can't.
SEO
In my book SEO is the foundation of any sound marketing strategy. Through proper research and understanding of what makes the internet tick, you can uncover all the secrets on how to best position your company and products.
Sales
You can never stop delivering value to your customer. This is why it's incredibly important to have a revenue generation organization in which all stakeholders are 100% aligned. I know how to build teams, processes and systems that
Toolkit
Adroll
14 years of experienceMy goto programmatic channel. Great coverage in media which usually use their own private offerings. Excellent tool for getting beyond Google Ads and Bing Ads
Ahrefs
11 years of experienceAhrefs is my goto marketing tool, not just for SEO. I also use others (often in parallel), but prefer Ahrefs due to it's more comprehensive databases.
Amplitude
8 years of experienceBeen part of the implementation and integration as well as an end user of Amplitude for app performance tracking. While mostly used for user activation, it's been instrumental at creating and managing experiences during user acquisition.
Basecamp
13 years of experienceI use it when forced. I don't like it. There's much better products out there that can do similar and more. It's a product that rested on its laurels and did not feel the need to evolve.
Customer.io
6 years of experienceImplemented for marketing and activation of app users. Integrated via Segment. Used for push communications and drip campaigns based on user action and behaviour.
Dropbox
18 years of experienceCritical part of my no-code integrations back in the day, when it was the most integrated and most used cloud storage provider. Have built an online video delivery system based purely on android devices and Dropbox.
Google Analytics
17 years of experienceThis one is self explanatory. While not absolutely necessary to implement for every single marketing department, it does help with integration of data.
Google Data Studio
8 years of experienceMost robust, free solution I've found for compounding marketing and sales data from several sources. Always aimed to work with Vanilla integrations, but have relied on Supermetrics, Hevo and others to pipe more exotic data.
Google Webmaster Tools
17 years of experienceCan't have SEO without Webmaster tools, most importantly Search Console. Which ism y main reason for using it. Tells you how things really are, compared to what your SEO tools say.
Hubspot
15 years of experienceHave executed 6 Hubspot implementations since 2012 and structured its Marketing, Sales and Support tools for a wide variety of use cases and businesses.
Intercom
14 years of experienceThe grandfather of chats. Nowadays a bit outdated but still very suitable for lead generation and support. Especially their knowledge base is a solid product.
KISSmetrics
13 years of experienceImplemented and used KISSmetrics in a Customer 360 project. Did not integrate the data much further, but utilized it in analysis and marketing optimization.
Looker
8 years of experienceSee Data Studio. Most robust, free solution I've found for compounding marketing and sales data from several sources. Always aimed to work with Vanilla integrations, but have relied on Supermetrics, Hevo and others to pipe more exotic data.
Mailchimp
14 years of experienceQuite often part of the bread and butter of any marketing department back in the day due to their freemium model. Picked it up exactly for that reason and also for its simplicity. Nowadays prefer more technical tools.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM
15 years of experienceBuilt custom integrations between Microsoft Dynamics and Hubspot for Enterprise sales management and reporting. Used Scribe online to create the lead and logic flows between both systems.
Mixpanel
10 years of experienceImplemented for UX analysis of webapp as well as marketing automation purposes. Utilized heavily in the deployment of a SaaS Self-service model for an enterprise product.
Pipedrive
13 years of experiencePerformed migrations to and from Pipedrive. Usually the first CRM I implement for small startups, for it simple robustness and excellent integrations.
Salesforce
13 years of experienceExtended knowledge as both an Admin and Marketing and Sales user. Have lead 2 Salesforce CRM implementations and migrations. Also worked for a Salesforce AppExchange partner.
Segment
7 years of experienceI implement Segment for Best of Breed marketing stacks, where we do not want to rely on the complete suite offerings out there. The flexibility Segment gives, as well as it's built-in data manipulation tools are a fantastic asset for low-code marketing teams.
Semrush
12 years of experienceMy secondary SEO tool. Often used in tandem with Ahrefs for full coverage. Semrush also has a few nice tools which Ahrefs doesn't directly offer (but can emulate with manual work)
Supermetrics
9 years of experienceBeen using their products on and off for integrating Data Studio and Sheets with other data sources. Have also used other providers with more attractive pricing models.
Trello
13 years of experienceI use it when forced. I don't like it. There's much better products out there that can do similar and more. It's a product that rested on its laurels and did not feel the need to evolve.
Zapier
15 years of experienceFundamental part of any no-code marketing stack. even in their old days they provided indispensable integrations. Marketing teams finally became independent of developers. Nowadays I prefer to take more manual approaches for the sake of data security and flexibility, but I do go to Zapier (or Make/Integromat) for quick and functional integrations.
Industries
SaaS
Even though I have experience beyond this vertical, B2B SaaS is where I feel most at home. It's where I've picked up most of my marketing skills and strategies, and it just comes so naturally to me.
Cryptocurrency
I've been functioning as the CMO of one of the leading cryptocurrency service providers in the Nordics since 2018. Focussing on user and lead acquisition on European scale.
