Narayanan is a seasoned Engineering Leader with 15 years of experience in shaping technical vision and developing innovative software solutions. With a Master’s in Computer Science from Columbia University, he has successfully implemented monetization strategies like volume discounts, metered billing, and improved shopping cart features, significantly boosting AppDirect’s revenue. His leadership in adopting new technologies, such as NoSQL databases and reactive programming, as well as migrating the checkout system to React, enhanced developer productivity and GTM speeds. At LinkedIn, Narayanan leads three teams managing sophisticated subscription and billing systems, processing over $10 billion annually. He has overseen the design of critical systems and established cross-functional partnerships with departments like Revenue, Support, and Sales, driving the creation of impactful projects including the Admin Center and usage-based billing features.
