Hi! It’s María José (MJ for friends). I’ve been working for a large international corporation for 15 years, where I was lucky to co-create a business unit practically from scratch as a kind of startup, with the challenges that this entails within a large company. I made it grow and scale up to 9 countries today, increasing turnover in the last year by almost 30% and building an about 50 people team up, and going on! I'm an innovative person with entrepreneurial soul and growth mindset, a bit techie, love new technologies, passionate about digital businesses, platform strategies, digital innovation and digital transformation. I'm in love with the startup ecosystem and I'm a kind of intrapreneur in my company. With a growth mindset, I focus on real customer centricity, always looking for the success and satisfaction of my customers, becoming a honest trusted partner for them, building engagement and value relationships, providing real added value but being sincere when cannot. I have strategic thinking and fast thinking, being analytical and with attention to details but never forgetting medium and long terms. Now, I’m leading a multidisciplinary expert team facing so different challenges and wide international digital transformation projects. Outside my regular job I’m also a mentor on soft skills for business (as leadership, team creation, networking or strategy management, among others). I can provide you advice on: - what you have to consider for creating a business from scratch (or teams) - strategies or actions on how to scale it up and make it develop and growth - how to implement processess or solutions from an IT and operations view or how to make them more efficient - how to create economies of scale - refining your pitch and vision (I have experience pitching to different levels within my company) - soft skills: leadership, building of teams, networking, performing... - Also, I can help you on more specific subjects related to my job itself on digital platforms: websites, mobile… and everything related to it: from the creation of any website or communication platform from an IT perspective, software testing or the consultancy on product updates or new product features, to content marketing, UX and UI, web design, content management or communication strategies.

    Solving problems without having external funding, becoming resourceful and developing a versatile skill set is not easy. I've spent last 7 years doing that, trying to use only existing resources, and making costs more efficient or optimising processes in order to adjust the business to a very tight budget, getting very good results.     Building a team and keep it motivated or goal-oriented is not easy, even more when goals or motivations differ between members (or teams)or they're offshore. It requires real "flight time". I've been leading cross-functional teams from 15 years, both creating teams from scratch (to make them grow until 50 people) or adapting old inherited teams to new needs or businesses.     I’ve been offering digital services on Communication, Content Marketing and Design (Web, UX/UI and Editorial) for any channel or platform for 15 years. I collaborate with my customers to improve and enrich their communication platforms, not only offering advice on designs and information proposals, but also creating ad-hoc content and audiovisual material. All to generate engagement or boost the brand: content strategies, communication plans, content curation, press clippings or data marketing

  • Copywriting

    You know what a “call to action” is and when to use it? How to well position an article or make it SEO-optimized? When, where and what kind of article write-down to attract your audience? Did you know that the sum of a copywriter and a designer can generate marvelous appealing and persuasive resources? How to lead them?     I've led 100+ Web Projects (public websites, commercial sites, microsites, landing pages, intranets, collaboration spaces, digital magazines...) from different perspectives: creation from scratch, designing mock-ups, interface layouts, redesign and rebranding, restructuring of information architecture… and I’ve learnt a lot based on results.
