Bio

Tech enthusiast with a decade of experience and an exceptional track record. I love to solve consumer and business challenges with the help of technology and build exceptional products. I've scaled startups and companies from go-to-market, sales, product marketing, operations all the way to acquisitions. Proven capabilities in leading cross-functional global teams and managing external agencies. Known as an adaptable problem solver with a passion for growth and customer experience. My personal and professional experiences have taught me a lot: » I excel at executing big ideas within given constraints » I know how to identify, define and execute strategy » I know how to generate revenue from scratch » I put the customer at the center of everything I do » I can tell a great story » I don't like to use big words I speak tech, exec, and scale. What can I do for you? Hit me up for questions surrounding: - Go to Market strategy - Branding - Customer development and customer journey - Hiring and growing your (remote) team - Funding

Expertise

  • Advice on funding

Over the past years I've raised everything from seed capital to multi-million Series A rounds. I know how to build a good pitch deck, summarize the most important metrics and most importantly: make a bullet proof plan for the investment itself. Funding is seen as a holy grail but is not always the answer!

  • Bootstrapping

Back in 2014, I successfully conceptualized and launched my own company within 3 months. Having no access to capital at that time, the business was almost entirely bootstrapped and designed with an organic growth mindset from the beginning. I can help you identify key pillars in your strategy that need external help, so you can minimize overspending and cash burn in general.

  • Building a team

I've grown commercial teams from 1 (myself, in some instances) to many in various industries over the years. Knowing which role to hire for at what moment is essential in creating long term success. It goes beyond that though, especially when budgets are limited and you can't afford to waste time on figuring out a hiring process that works for you. I can help you with proven methods and lessons learned so you at least take a short cut and at best grow your all star team from the get go.

  • Content marketing

Identifying your target audience is one thing, creating content that captivates them is another. I can help you establish a content strategy that captures the right kind of attention for your business, for example mixing evergreen content with content aimed at using trends to create a balance between short and long term goals.

  • Conversion rate optimisation

I have been optimizing conversion rates and validating frameworks in diverging industries. Combining Growth Marketing principles with a deep understanding and appreciation for funnel and customer journey dynamics. Most important element: find the why (by exploring data or doing focus group interviews).

  • Design / UX

I have a natural obsession for design, so this topic comes easily. #1 error in design is assumptions made by people that do not interact with the product or service on a daily basis. I provide advice on nailing the right design and making stuff that is intuitive to use.

  • Go to market strategy

In my career I've helped bring numerous products to market, focused on driving market awareness, user adoption and business impact. I've launched brand new products, every size of feature update and helped migrate thousands of customers to new solutions quickly and effectively. From full fledged, multi-faceted campaigns to pricing models and marketing tactics and everything in between - let's dive in.

  • Remote work

I've worked remotely full time for the past couple years now, as many people have. Even before that, though, I was managing remote teams for years. Building engagement, a strong team culture and using tools that make getting work done easy in a remote environment isn't easy, but I'd be happy to help.

I've been using ActiveCampaign since my go-to budget option for automating inbound campaign emails, newsletters and internal newswires. My knowledge is pretty broad, ranging from visual design to setting up the timing and frequency of automated marketing emails.

  • Salesforce logo

    Salesforce

    10 years of experience

Used Salesforce off and on since 2017, when I first came into contact with it while doing a consultancy gig. That changes when you move into Series A or B territory and can afford to have a dedicated team for CRM.
