Bio
👋 Hi, I'm Maeva! I run Flying Cat Marketing, an SEO and content marketing agency for fast-growth B2B SaaS companies. I founded the agency early 2020 and grew it from $0 to $140K MRR in under two years. Before that, I worked as a freelance content marketer, copywriter and translator for 10 years. I speak 5 languages (English, French, Spanish, Catalan and Italian, written in respective order of fluency). Long before I got into the digital space, I thought I'd be a psychiatrist—so I got my degree in psychology and have been learning what makes people tick since then. Then I thought I'd become a legal translator, which I did—I translated court cases and contracts for a while, and even earned a Master's in legal translation in 2013 where I did mock trials against actual lawyers. Now and for the last many years of my career, I've been focused on SEO as a growth channel. Using a fully content-led approach, my team has managed to quadruple revenue for our clients and turn search into a legitimate revenue growth channel. Lately as I step a little out of the SEO hat and more into the CEO/leader hat, I've been enjoying growing a team. In 2020 we grew from 1-2 people. In 2021 we grew to 10 people, and in the first month of 2022 we doubled that.
Expertise
Building a team
I built my team from 2-10 people in one year, and then doubled that within the first month of 2022. My team bleeds our culture—they love it, support each other and absolutely thrive for the company. Happy to talk about building culture in a fast-growing team.
Content marketing
I grew my company from €0 to €1.6M using content marketing alone. This is a mix of LinkedIn personal branding content, referrals from my content marketing work with clients, and content on our website.
Mindset coaching
I wouldn't claim I'm an expert in this, but I think I have a knack for it. I have a degree in psychology and have worked with many mindset coaches before that have helped me transform my life. I don't get too "hibbity jibbity" about it but can help you identify limitations in the way you're thinking.
Remote work
I run a 20-person team fully distributed across the world and in several time zones. As a 100% remote team, we still have an extremely strong culture and great relationships.
SEO
My focus is helping mid-sized B2B SaaS companies grow revenue coming from SEO. I've helped quadruple revenue through a creative and full-funnel approach to search content. My strength is in content-led and on-page SEO, while I also have some experience in scalable strategies. The way I do SEO has allowed my clients to outrank websites with higher DR and more content. Disclaimer: I am not that strong in off-page.
Toolkit
ActiveCampaign
11 years of experienceActiveCampaign is my go-to for email marketing and marketing automations for clients. It's not my expertise but I've learned a lot about it and have managed to build some pretty cool automations with trial and error.
Ahrefs
14 years of experienceThis is my go-to keyword research tool. It's extremely advanced and you can do the majority of your keyword research using this and all of its filters. Pair this with a great Google Sheet and some smart scripts, and you can plan a year's worth of keywords in a day.
Google Analytics
17 years of experienceI use Google Analytics on a daily basis for my clients and for my own business. This is what we use for data analysis. I can help you understand how to look at data better, set goals and set views and filters.
Zapier
8 years of experienceWe've built a large part of our business using Zapier—a large part of our content operations and client operations is automated using this tool. We've recently built a Zap that allows us to publish blog posts directly to Wordpress in one click using Zapier and Airtable.
Industries
SEO
Search is the underdog, the misunderstood channel that can completely change a business sustainably. SEO is a compounding asset that, when done right, can drive millions in revenue. Sure, it's "long-term" because it's a business strategy you want to choose and stick to. But results can be faster than you think.
SEO
All our clients are SaaS companies, from Hotjar, to ActiveCampaign, to Mixmax—I can help you tie inbound marketing to SaaS growth and understand the metrics that are most important to look at.
