We teach boys to be brave and we teach girls to be perfect. That realization hit me hard after 12 years in product management. It took me far too long to recognize my own capabilities, to trust my knowledge, to speak up confidently in rooms full of engineers and executives. And I know I'm not alone. Imposter syndrome is endemic in product management. We know a little bit about everything but we're specialists in nothing. That's literally our job—to bridge gaps, connect dots, and make sense of the chaos. But it can leave you feeling like a fraud. I'm here because I've been there. And because incredible mentors helped me find my footing, I want to pay it forward. For the past 6+ years, I've been a part of the integrations product management at Acronis, one of the leading cybersecurity companies. This isn't your typical product role—it's equal parts product strategy, ecosystem building, business development, and community management. When I joined, we had 20 integrations. Today? Over 300. But here's what matters more than the numbers: I've learned how to build products that create value not just for your users, but for an entire ecosystem of partners, vendors, and communities. I collaborate daily with product managers across the industry, advising on integration scenarios, helping with requirements, recruiting participants for customer validation interviews. I'm deeply involved in the MSP (Managed Service Provider) community, attending events, building relationships, and staying connected to the people who actually use what we build. Having had incredible mentors myself, I feel a responsibility to give back. I've been an informal mentor through company programs, but I wanted to do this more intentionally, more broadly.
