I'm Lucia, an entrepreneur driven by a passion for creating and leading impactful projects. My journey began while studying Law and Economics at university, where I sold my first company, an English language training service for businesses. This early success propelled me to move to London in search of new opportunities. In 2019, I founded HeySpanish, a B2B service company. The onset of the pandemic forced us to pivot and radically transform our business model to B2C. Today, Diluu (formerly HeySpanish) is dedicated to helping thousands of families worldwide through live online and interactive lessons. Our platform allows children from Spanish and French speaking families living abroad to make friends from all over the world while improving their language skills. We are currently developing an AI-powered platform to further enhance the learning experience. Taking Diluu from zero to one involved identifying and optimising on the first growth channels. By meticulously tracking our P&L, we managed to grow using targeted paid ads and various tools. This growth trajectory also led us into the realm of fundraising. Our recent investment round saw our first investor emerge from within our client base, a testament to the value and impact of our service. Looking ahead, we plan to expand our offerings to include the most important languages for expats, continually innovating to help more families maintain their cultural and linguistic roots. Our journey is driven by the vision of creating a global community where language and culture connect and thrive.
