    I'm currently leading a team of 6 PMs working on Growth initiatives, and before that I led a cross-functional team (PMs, PAs, UXRs - 10 in total). Building a team is both about strategy, people management, and stakeholder management for me.

    My work as a startup advisor and as a GPM for growth initiatives made me seek ways to validate ideas and hypotheses fast - both with engineering and no engineering effort.

    We really overcomplicate many aspects of product management, trying to fit frameworks that don't actually fit, getting wrangled in decisions that do not matter, following hardline methodologies. Product management really is more about general problem solving rather than an obscure system of following different methodologies.

    Most of my experience in product-market fit is based on the work I did for startups, either as an employee or as an advisor (lately). Seeking product-market fit is simple, but not easy. I think most startups make it harder for themselves to find a PMF than it should be.

  • User research

    I've been lucky enough to get coaching on that area early in my career, and was immediately in love - from discovery to quantifying criteria for buying decisions. User research is relegated to 'getting insights', 'getting input', and is not thought of as a holistic way to get better at making decisions - the only thing that matters. Time to change that.
