Ian Booth
Product Growth Lead
Bio
In 2010, I stepped into the world of SaaS by helping small businesses build online stores, turning customer feedback into features they loved and helping them grow real businesses. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of scaling products used by millions, leading teams, and driving efficient growth strategies. Today, I sit between growth, product, and customer success. I advocate for doing more with less, designing scalable motions tailored to the unique needs of a business, and constantly validating, adjusting, and learning. I believe the best outcomes come from collaboration, empathy, genuine curiosity, and iterative action. Whether it’s working towards product-market fit, setting up lean growth strategies, defining success in GTM or product motions, or just working out what needs the most attention, I bring hands-on experience to help founders make thoughtful, impactful decisions. My superpower is simplifying complexity and breaking down challenges into actionable steps that drive results. If you also just need a space to vent or bounce some ideas around, that's great as well!
Expertise
Go to market strategy
Define your ICP, find their preferred channel, lean into metrics and learn to say no when it doesn't make sense. I've worked closely with GTM teams on improving conversion rates and building repeatable revenue.
Idea validation
Everything you do costs money, how do you validate that spend is as effective as possible? Experimentation and validation! I've implemented processes in multiple companies to optimise for quick validation and iterative experiments to speed your learning up.
No-code
Have an idea but don't have resource to build something, there's likely a way to do that without. I have spent years building no-code solutions for customer problems, growth challenges, prototypes and workarounds.
Product analytics
Not tracking enough, tracking too little, bad schemas, silo'd data. I've worked on multiple implementations of robust product analytics. From defining scalable schemas to work from, to developing a strategy to ensure its usable and connects to tools that leverage the most out of it.
Product management
I've worked as a SaaS product manager for 10 years, across different industries, team sizes and types of product. I use first principles in everything I do to find the real opportunity and then develop a robust validation process to test solutions before scaling.
Product market fit
How do you know if you're on the right track? Ask your users and customers. I can help you build a repeatable process to work out how you're performing and where to take action.
User research
Everything starts and ends with your users. How do you know what they need or the value you're bringing them? I'll help you to shape quantitative and qualitative strategies to increase your rate of learning without slowing down your execution.
Venting frustration
Sometimes, all you need is a space to vent and gain a fresh perspective to move through or past a challenge. I’m here to listen, share insights, and support you however you need.
