Bio

Hey, I'm Grete! And I'm here to offer my time for free to contribute to your self-growth and business growth. ABOUT ME - I value straightforward talk and individuals. - I'm true believer in teamwork and lifelong learning, advocate for self-growth, a strong believer in "if you're not embarrassed by who you were a year ago, you're not learning enough." - I'm from Estonia, yet working and living in various countries for 10 years by now. WORK BACKGROUND - I've been on both of the paths - as entrepreneur building up something new from scratch (going through the pain of "doing it all from sales to accounting to legal") as well as managing international teams as an employee. - During last years I've worked with governmental trade organizations and 200+ CPG micro businesses from 11 countries to increase their international exposure. - Currently loving the journey of growing one of the leading app marketing companies with userbase of tens of thousands of app marketers and developers.

Expertise

  • Building a team

Covering topics like roles and responsibilities of the team lead and team members, setup and processes incl efficient meetings, individual growth and team growth, team values and dynamics to name a few.

  • Content marketing

A great content strategy and execution of it is needed for brand and product marketing both. It's the core to be find on the search engines organically or through paid channels by your target audience. And, as a result, to be perceived as someone knowledgeable for the topics your potential customers are interested in learning about.

  • Customer success

At my current position, I'm running a Growth team that includes also CS team focusing on activation, acquisition and retention. CS focuses on making the client successful (with our product). It's as straightforward as that. And only doable when you're able to measure the value you're producing for your clients.

  • Email marketing

Email marketing for lead nurturing as well as for user engagement, email automation (and tools for it), communicating product and marketing releases, storytelling, creatives and all in between.

  • Growth marketing

Seeking the high impact UA activities, running constant experiments to optimize the user journey, working on the border line between Growth and Product with the goal to maximize the revenue streams.

  • Product marketing

Value proposition from client's perspective, feature (set) communication, messaging framework for different audiences, new releases and adoption analytics.

  • Public relations

PR can be great leverage as part of the overall marketing mix, if well strategized and executed. I work for years now closely with a PR agency resulting in regular industry leading coverage without paid media relations.

  • Remote work

My team is working hybrid from various countries. Hence happy to discuss anything about communication channels, effective meeting setup, motivation and co.

  • Venting frustration

This is so necessary for sustainability and high performance. Hence my offer to be your accountability partner. Frustration needs to be put into words in order to rationalize it and analyze it and move further with/from it.

Toolkit

  • Ahrefs logo

    Ahrefs

    7 years of experience

I like ahrefs as SEO tool to track visibility on search engines. The interface is rather "techy" but the reporting is good, also annotations on graphics and continuous improvement of the tool.

  • Google Analytics logo

    Google Analytics

    8 years of experience

Ongoingly a good free tool for tracking from where (e.g. geo, browser, channel) the website/product traffic is coming from and where do they drop off. Important though to switch over to GA4 ;)

  • Intercom logo

    Intercom

    7 years of experience

A good communications tool, it just needs to be correctly used and setup. E.g. tagging functionalities on Support chat help to have more advanced reporting or product tours and series are great for automating inside Product communications as well.

  • JIRA logo

    JIRA

    7 years of experience

Great project management tool for a SaaS company. Atlassian offers very many different functionalities, my experience is so far with Jira Software, Jira Services and Confluence on top of it for working cross-departments, especially bringing Marketing, CS and Support teams close to Product and Dev team.

  • Wordpress logo

    Wordpress

    9 years of experience

Easy to get started tool yet offering more functionality than the one-click-website platforms. I've tried different "shortcuts" yet always ended up understanding that for something sustainable it makes sense to find a fitting (free/affordable) WP theme and then take it from there. Working with dedicated developers on custom themes is a different story though :)

Industries

  • Marketing

I've been working in international marketing and business development since 2011. For the last 3 years I've been specializing in SaaS and apps through various responsibilities in (product) marketing, growth, customer success and support.
