After a summer of travel after graduation, I booked a one way ticket to Malta and incorporated my company.

Giulia Cian Seren
Hybrid Marketing & IT | Fractional CMO
This was one of the most helpful sessions I have had on Growthmentor. Giulia is a fast thinker, so don't hesitate to talk fast and to the point, you'll get the most value out of one session. Definitely recommended for any growth-related questions!
Giulia was wonderful to connect with! We discussed b2c best practices and the strategic and tactical differences with b2b, I enjoyed our conversation and learnt a lot. She is very knowledgeable, and friendly. I definitely recommend her!
Excellent session. Very energetic and informative on the things that I should incorporate in my business going forward.
Bio
My passion is to help organisations be more resilient and independent through technology and marketing-related systems. Since 2013, I’ve been a self employed digital marketing and tech consultant. It all started in 2011 when I was studying Diplomacy and volunteering in AIESEC Trieste. Nothing enrages me more than seeing good causes having near-zero traction because of bad marketing. That’s when I rolled up my sleeves and made my first WordPress website. Thanks to a C++ module I took in high school, I’m no stranger to coding. Once I graduated in 2013, I decided I didn’t want to follow the traditional corporate career path (BORING!) and instead decided to put my analytical brain and nerdy hands at the service of worthy causes and passionate entrepreneurs. This journey took me from Italy to living in Malta, Estonia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and connecting with businesses in 20+ more countries, across 10+ industries. Today, I get to use my broad experience and deep expertise to translate complex systems and problems into straightforward solutions. I also love to combine this with my passion for food by working with restaurant groups and lots of food producers/suppliers.
Expertise
Content marketing
Content is a great way to increase your traffic, number of leads, sales conversion and returning customer rate. It was one of the first topics I started learning back in 2010 so I'm always happy to nerd out on content.
Conversion rate optimisation
Why focus so much energy on brand awareness when you could just double your current conversion rate and make more with the same traffic? This is why I love conversion rate optimisation a lot more than PR campaigns - any day.
Marketing automation
Computers don't sweat so let's take them work harder for us! Marketing automation can help companies of any size save time, segment their audience better and overall see better ROI for their efforts.
PPC strategies
Google Search Ads is one of my favourite new customer acquisition channels lately. I've used it since 2015 with excellent results, even with small $5/day budgets.
Productized services
It's always fun to brainstorm modern ways to serve customers in traditional (or even less traditional) industries. This is something I help entrepreneurs with on a weekly basis so if you're a knowledge worker looking for ideas, let's talk!
Remote work
I've been working from my living room since 2013 and I've worked from hundreds of different living rooms. As an introvert, this really helps me live my *best life* and I love sharing my tips and experience in this regard.
SEO
Local SEO & on page SEO are my cup of tea. Favourite WP plugin: Rank Math. Started my experience in 2010 and kept learning since. Only white hat, pragmatic advice from me.
Social media
I stopped providing social media as a service in 2017 but I'm still actively advising businesses on the strategy side of social media. My favourite right now? YouTube.
Technology and tools
I learned to type at 3 years old and my Googling skills are superb. I'm all for no-code or low-code solutions that make entrepreneurs more independent from agencies and expensive developers - I've actually provided IT advisory services a few times.
Toolkit
ActiveCampaign
9 years of experienceI've used ActiveCampaign extensively for both B2C and B2B companies. It's also my favourite email marketing tool and what I use for my own. Perfect for small sized lists up to 50,000 contacts.
Insightly
13 years of experienceThe perfect CRM for small organisations. I've used this in startups and ngo and it's always a great basic tool if you're making the switch from spreadsheets.
Wordpress
15 years of experienceI created my first website on my way to starting a business. The business didn't make it past the summer, but gladly I kept tinkering around with Wordpress. I probably built over 50 websites over the years.
Industries
Marketing Automation
I love automating customer journeys and using the tools of technology to make marketing more targeted, effective and automated. I have worked with marketing automation tools since 2015.
