I was 19 when I first moved to NYC. At 22, I was in Barcelona and started my first company with $80. I, and eventually 15 more people, lived off that business that took me around the world, selling our products, building fascinating connections, and discovering opportunities. While in my twenties, I also learned 3 new languages, took 2 master’s in International Business and later an MBA at IESE. Life as an early entrepreneur and an avid business nerd shaped me for the rest of my life. Later, I moved to the Middle East where I tried the other side of the coin—being employed by others. I led a multi-cultural team in an event production agency, project-managed complex scopes for the military, had a recruitment side hustle, and became a self-trained procurement specialist while working for a sovereign investment fund. In parallel, I advised SMEs and solopreneurs on strategic business decisions about growth and talent. Throughout this eclectic journey, I learned innumerable lessons about people, business and organizations and understood the peculiarities of the corporate world. At 39, I quit my job to pursue a new dream and ensure my forties are as fruitful. As a base for this exciting new discovery phase, I chose Sweden. An innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem where I am building a startup that advances sustainability through technology. I also encourage and help others start their own venture, even as they stay in their corporate jobs, because the life of a solopreneur can be challenging and lonely. There is nothing I love more than supporting people to grow. Sometimes this means challenging their ideas, so they become stronger and viable. Content is a genuine passion of mine. To frame content in a way that the underlying substance promotes engagement, emotion and memorability is something I am used to doing. My Bachelor's is filmmaking, so story-telling is embedded in my way of thinking and this is highly useful for content marketing discussions.

Because I am a naturally service-oriented individual and I apply this mentality even within corporations for internal clients, my focus on customer experience is genuine. This entrepreneurial mindset allowed me to live in 4 continents, explore almost every functional area in a company, work in my own ventures, and build a family with my high-school sweetheart. Having worked in governmental entities and dealt with sensitive stakeholders and information, I am used to communicating matters in ways that apply to such circumstances. My filmmaking studies, which made me a communications specialist since an early age, also help me in these type of discussions that require persuasion and assertiveness.

This is one of my key strengths, having had to sell multiple types of products and solutions in different markets. Besides having managed my own sales pipeline for years, I have built and led sales teams with staff from up to 15 nationalities. Focusing on revenue growth, but also taking care of margins and building relationships that last both with staff and clients has been the core work of my daily life for a good portion of my professional life.

I am particularly interested and devoted to LinkedIn these days, and I have developed valuable knowledge about it recently. I believe this is the most powerful social media platform to foster business relations, and I have witnessed its impact in first person. I can advise business owners and professionals on strategies that are working for me in this space.
Venting frustration
Because of my experience in different sectors, regions and types of professional environments, I have dealt with staff frustration in all shapes and forms. After voicing the issues and laying them out properly, taking advantage of my interview techniques learned during my documentary filming training, I have always found ways of looking at things constructively to move forward. Because frustration needs to be fuel for innovation.
