Founder at Brand Authority Club
Over the course of my career, one thing has stood out to me: Brand authority is critical, but it's never focused on. SEO, content, PR, and brand all contribute to your company's authority, but some stumble into it accidentally rather than deliberately trying for it. I'm here to change that.
My decade-long career has centered around the power of content. It's where I got my start, and it's where my passion lies today. Creating great content isn't just about building traffic - it's about telling your brand's story, building trust with your audience, and establishing your brand as an authority in your industry.
In my role as Head of Marketing at Stacker, I operate as a team of one and manage to single-handedly source ~40-50% of revenue via various marketing channels, including content, paid social, email marketing, and more. I understand that each brand demands its own approach to growth, and I'm prepared to help you strategize what will connect you with customers and differentiate you from your competitors.
About 8 years of my career have been spent examining the intersection of content and link building. However, I believe in "link earning" rather than "link building." Through the creation of high-quality content, you can earn more (and better) links over time. It's an investment, but it certainly pays off in the long run, and I'm here to help.
I've worked remotely for 8 years. It has massive benefits, but it also comes with unique challenges. I'm happy to be an empathetic sounding board about how to make remote work work for you - both as it relates to your own motivation and productivity and also as it relates to working with a team.
Mental health is one of my passions. I care deeply about people and believe we all deserve an outlet to be heard and validated. I am more than willing to have vulnerable conversations, listen non-judgmentally, and provide any support I'm able.
My SEO tool of choice! Ahrefs is my go-to when I'm exploring changes in rankings, how brand pages are performing, and where content can improve to beat the competition.
Isn't Hotjar cool? I could spend hours exploring the heat maps and behavior tracking provided by this tool. Even the free version can reveal fascinating insights about what people want from your site and how to improve your content to drive more engagement.
Ah, yes, I've spent a lot of my professional life in HubSpot! My current and last companies both used the HubSpot CRM, and I'm very familiar with the Marketing Hub and its capabilities.
I love any/all tools that explore People Also Ask, Google Autocomplete, and other insights into how people search. They're great brainstorming tools for understanding intent around different keywords and diving into more niche topics.
I've used MailChimp to manage brand newsletters, including the one I currently operate for Stacker Studio called Newsworthy (before we switched over to HubSpot).
I've used Semrush to do keyword research and analysis; it's been a critical tool for all content audits I perform. By understanding keyword gaps and strengths, I'm able to make stronger recommendations for where to focus our content pruning/creation attention.
