🚀 Growth & Marketing Freelancer, 📊 SaaS Founder, 👨🏫 500 Startups Mentor // Ex-Head of SEO @PayPal, Ex-Head of Growth
For me, growth hacking does not mean unsustainable or even unethical growth tricks. It means combining qualitative and quantitative data, often a bit of coding and some magic dust to come up with novel solutions to problems, giving you an edge in your growth strategy.
I love improving conversion rates and have learned and developed frameworks which provide a structured approach to improving all steps across your funnel, based on the underlying psychology of your users.
I've taught hundreds of entrepreneurs about SEO and have helped dozens of sites improve their search visibility through technical SEO, content marketing and link-building. I used to manage PayPal's global SEO.
aka Google Optimise - I've written an article about my experience with this tool on CXL: https://cxl.com/blog/optimize-tag-manager-personalization/ While it has its limitation, it's a great tool to help you with website experiments and set up personalisation.
I've set up and managed GTM for more than 20 clients. I love this tool and I'd love to teach you how to use it. From setting up custom events and pushing them to different platforms, to improving your page load speed, it's awesome.
I've spent over £1M in the last 3 years on FB Ads, optimising them for different clients. FB has changed a lot even in this time, so I'd love to share my learnings. Also, I'm building a SaaS to help others with FB Ads, so I'd love to learn more about how you're using it.
Probably my favourite tool of all times. It's a swiss army knife for automation. I've build entire product experiences based on Zapier, and while they were built as band-aid solutions, they are still running like this 3 years later. It's great.
aka Search Console. Make sure you leverage Search Console when doing SEO. Not only does it give you the WHAT, it also gives you the WHY. I've set it up for more than 30 sites and look at it almost daily.
Everyone's using GA, but few are using it well. A lot of my work with clients is setting up custom events and goals to improve the understanding of what works and what doesn't. If you're looking to implement user-specific tracking, custom dimensions, cross domain tracking etc. - happy to help.
Oh well - RJ. I think it's called Magento BI now. I'm not sure I'm a bit fan, but I've spent A LOT of time with it in my time at Truly. It was our central data warehouse and we've built loads of custom dashboards in there. They even used us for a case study.
Looking to move your dashboards from Google Sheets to data studio? Been there, done that. Whether it's project specific dashboards to company wide KPIs, data studio can be an awesome tool.
I've used drip as well as Klaviyo and Vero and many others for email automation. I have found that the tool doesn't really matter, it's more about the approach behind it :)
Johannes was easily approachable and above all knowledgeable. He could break down our growth challenge into its key components, and then walked through potential actions to take and improve on each of them. We ran out of time, which is probably a sign of a call worth having!
Johannes is highly experienced in SEO. He quickly got to grips with my challenges and provided invaluable strategic and tactical advice. Despite only a short call booked he gave me much more time and went above and beyond, helping to make some very useful intros. A strong recommendation from my side!
Johannes was super helpful again. This time he pointed out a few SEO tactics I should consider and helped me think through considerations in launching a massive amount of new pages.
I love Johannes! Second time meeting with him, and we went into what customer personas really are and what's needed by me to make progress for my company. Now all I have to do is follow his lead!
Johannes was awesome. While came up with the problem statement, he quickly dissected that into who I should be targetting and how I can improve my messaging on my website. Thanks for your time and would speak again soon.
I had a discussion on several ways to market my Testimonial & Rating platform crowdy.ai. We discussed pros and cons and he gave me some useful ideas for either marketing and for the product itself. Johannes does understood my challenges very quickly and has a broad and solid knowledge about Online Marketing. Thanks for your time, Johannes!
Great talk and insightful! We covered the basics of Facebook Ads and also discussed more complex topics. It was a nice mix of information. Looking forward to the next talk!

Johannes set me up to show up to an agency meeting and speak up for my client, he gave me big picture help but also tactical technical things I needed help on in Facebook ads. Highly suggest this kind man!
