I have an MBA in Creative Industries management. UX has gained a lot of influence in business and strategy. I have the background to understand the world of management & finance. The perfect symbiosis to be able to bring together, Design + Business + Technology to pursue innovative customer experiences. Data has an increasing say when it comes to product development and marketing. I am able to set up proper KPIs and extract information from data invaluable.
I have a focus on design strategy. I can solve business problems & translate them into beautiful digital solutions for users delight. During my process, I collect & analyze research about users. I visualize data in actionable artifacts: personas, user flows, user journeys, blueprints, story & opportunity mapping, affinity diagrams. etc. to create the product vision. Next, I take the results as an input into delivery where I write user stories and scenarios from a user and experience perspective.
I use Jira to manage my design team workspace. Here we define our Epics and T-shirt size our efforts. Jira is an excellent tool to share with other product owners and stakeholders what the design team is up to. We plan our design sprints and growing our backlog.
In Emergn my work includes however not be limited to -Lead. I execute any design work related to research and scaling design operations within the company. I provide experience in design R&D and thought leadership especially in Machine and Artificial Intelligence areas. I'm helping the company to set up a Design Creative Lab value proposition and ways of working.

With passion and clear vision, I fought to change the level of UX maturity in the organization. I had delivered value across the whole product development lifecycle. I have lead project visions and contribute hands-on implementation across projects ecosystem to deliver strong outcomes. My design process included problem framing & strategy, stakeholder management, UX research, co-creation with product owners, validation, delivering wireframes & prototypes. Implementation of a Design System, from specifications to development with design guides for product consistency. I also established a new agile design process to ship more efficiently. I mentored my team, from management to development, to enhance design-maturity. I was proactive challenged by trade-offs regarding business goals, user engagement, cross-channel experiences, service design, or deep analytics of user behavior data.
Joana helped me solve five SIGNIFICANT design struggles I had, and gave me the framework to UX test my new company website. Very excited. Very grateful. Joana get's UX really well, hard to find people like that.

Excellent feedback and insights
Few designers know how to use data. Joana is one of them. I learned that what most designers struggle with is a lack of access to client data with which to make data-informed design decisions. This messes up their design process, and creates a situation where the end-goal is to please the client instead of moving the needle forward on the core business objectives tied to the design. Joana was a pleasure to speak to. Super cool that she's part of this community!
